The Hoke County Republican Party held a House of Raeford community chicken sale on June 5 in the Rockfish Community. The local party distributed over 274 cases of chicken and were assisted by some of the Hoke County Bucks football players. In return for their efforts, the Hoke GOP gave each student-athlete a case of chicken free to take home to their family and donated $500 to help players attend a camp in Raleigh. The party also donated 15 cases of chicken to the Open Door Soup Kitchen and the Affairs of the Family Rockfish. The next community chicken sale will be in the fall.
