—NEXT MEETING; Our next monthly meeting is this coming Thursday February 17, 2022, at PK’s Grill Raeford Airport at 7pm. Come on out and bring a friend as we have less than 9 months before the Midterm Election in November and of course there will be some races that have a Primary this May/June.
—CALL TO CONVENTION; Each year according to NC GOP By-Laws, local county parties are to hold Precinct Meetings and an Annual Convention. We will hold Precinct Meetings on Saturday March 12, (Location to Be Determined) and our Annual Convention will be Thursday March 17, 2022, at Wilburn Lofts Meeting and Event Center downtown Raeford. (Same location as last year) 114 N. Main St Raeford, NC 28376. YOU MUST FIRST REGISTER for the convention through our online Eventbrite Link before attending convention. (ALSO, you must be a Registered Republican as of January 2022 to attend convention) unless as an invited guest.

If you would like to be a Precinct Captain, please let one of the Executive Board members know ASAP. We will let you know when we secure a location for March 12.
—FREEDOM FISH FRY FUNDRAISER! We are planning a Freedom Fish Fry Fundraiser for Friday February 25, 2022, in Hoke County (from 4-7pm location almost locked in but not quite yet so check back) COME GET a Fresh Fish Sandwich or Plate and Meet some of our Candidates for local and statewide office. Hear about the issues affecting us all here locally and in North Carolina. DON’T FORGET to Register to Vote and keep a close eye on when the Primary Election will be. YES, the Districts Maps are in a state of confusion right now, but we also know WHO MAKES those maps, Legislatures NOT Judges!
—IT IS CLEAR our School Board just wants to keep kids and staff in masks and locked down despite the virus getting weaker and weaker. We believe in Freedom, and it should be a Parents Right to determine what’s best for their child and not school officials. We have reached out to a group called Hoke Parents For Education and they will be at our meeting this coming Thursday night. We must all join forces together to get the MANDATES DROPPED in Hoke County Schools and follow the science just as other counties around us have. (STOP Masks & Mandates for Thee and Not for Me) AND…. we SUPPORT OUR TEACHERS AND STAFF! There’s A LOT of them who feel this has gone on way to far.
—CONTRACT WITH THE COUNTY! Hoke County GOP is developing a “Contract with the County” and are seeking information from YOU the great citizens of our county. We want your opinion on the issues and concerns that matter the most to you and your family. We are seeking your input on things like, Community Development, Recreation, Schools & Education, Taxes, (Personal and Property), Managed Growth, Industry, Defense Contractors, Roads, Water/Sewer, Crime, Green Space, County and City Fee’s, Customer Service, Dilapidated Buildings and Homes, County Services, Illegal Trash Dumping and more. Soon you will see a Hoke County GOP Survey, please complete the survey or just send us an email with some of the concerns you are having. —ELECTION INTEGRITY; We all saw what happened in 2020 and basically what has been going on for years when it comes to Election Security! For every Illegal Vote that takes place, it cancels our YOUR Legal Vote. WE MUST STOP Election Fraud where it happens and to do that, we must have people willing to be Poll workers, Observers, Election Workers and Voter Integrity Watchdogs. NC GOP has specific training for these types of positions, and WE NEED PEOPLE to fill those positions! Please if you are interested in working a Polling Site, Observing and Reporting on questionable activities, please let us know and we will get you linked up.
—BULK CHICKEN TRUCKLOAD SALE; Hoke GOP will be sponsoring another Bulk Chicken truckload Sale in Rockfish on April 2 (date is subject to change and more info will be put out on our web sites, social media and email lists) just wanted to give you a heads up another one is coming.
—ADOPT A HIGHWAY! In 202 Hoke County GOP adopted a stretch of Highway 401 near Parker United Methodist Church. WE WILL have our 3rd Roadside Cleanup on Saturday March 19 from 9:00am to noon and then will have some grilled hot dogs and drinks right after just to say THANK YOU for helping keep our roads clean. More info will be posted in coming weeks.
