Hello, Hoke County!

I want to take this space to recognize the hard work of the Hoke GOP Executive Committee. 

We are currently outpacing new voter registration 5:1 to new Democrat voters. We have knocked on over 900 doors and passed out in excess of 2000 pieces of campaign literature since the beginning of the year. We are recognized state-wide as a party on the move and our techniques are being adopted by other GOP committees, demonstrating that this committee is “doing it right.”  

A desire for change is apparent in the community, and through the efforts of Erica Goodpaster (Vice-Chair), Yohan Namkung (Secretary), Solymar Castellon (Fundraising Chair), Jeremiah Goodpaster (Voter outreach), Ruben Castellon (Latino engagement), Hal Nunn (Delegate At-Large) David Frump (Candidate for Commissioner), Stevie Joe (Candidate for Sheriff), and Johnny Boyles (Candidate for Commissioner), we are bringing the plans for that change to our residents.

Excellence in Education Dinner A SUCCESS!

Saturday, July 30, 2022, we held a GOP fundraiser at the home of Ruben Castellon, candidate for Board of Education, and his wife, Solymar. The theme of the event was “Excellence In Education,” and Congressman Richard Hudson was the featured keynote speaker.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us! This was a sold-out event with the funds raised going to help print literature and host more Get Out The Vote events as November’s general election quickly approaches. 

Congressman Hudson gave an inspiring speech about the importance of education and concerned citizens standing up and running for office. Congressman Hudson stated, “I have been watching this county for a long time…You look at the growth of this county and the people who are willing to step up. I really think this is the year that Hoke County goes Republican. But it is up to us to do the work.” 

We have been holding one to two events monthly since February of 2022 and continue to increase our presence through the county with voter registration drives, door knocking, phone banking, and candidate meet and greets. 

The next 100 days till November 8 will be an extremely busy time for us as we work to break the 111-year control of the Democrat Party.

2022 Gun Raffle

You know how we Republicans like our 2A! The NC GOP and the NC Republican Sportsmen are sponsoring the 2022 Gun Raffle to benefit the NCGOP Judicial Fund.

And when you sign up for the raffle, you are not only supporting the NC GOP Judicial Fund.  Mention on the registration form that you purchased your tickets through HOKE COUNTY GOP and HALF of the ticket price comes back to Hoke County. We all win!

Ticket Prices are as follows:

  • 1 ticket for $50
  • 3 tickets for $100
  • 6 tickets for $150
  • 12 tickets for $200
  • 35 tickets for $500

Winners will be drawn at the NC Republican Sportsmen Banquet on October 1 at the Farm on 95 in Selma, NC. Tickets to the banquet are sold separately.

Host An Event!

We are looking for Hoke County residents who would be willing to invite at least 10 neighbors, friends, and/or family members to your home or your neighborhood center for a relaxed Coffee & Conversations event to get to know the candidates.

We have a core group that has been working really hard, but we can expand our reach if with more volunteers!
