NEW MEETING LOCATION FOR AUGUST: Hoke GOP will meet in the Rockfish Community for our August meeting at Rockfish Uhaul/Flea Market on August 19, 2021, at 2950 Lindsay Road at 7pm. Our Special Guest Speaker is our Congressman Dan Bishop. We will have pizza and drinks for those that would like something to eat.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES: Hoke GOP donated school supplies for HOKE school kids to the Puppy Creek Fire Department on Saturday July 31st at 1:00pm. We donated 41 bookbags that included school supplies of paper, scissors, crayons, glue stick and pencils. We also helped the Open Door Soup Kitchen get their donation of 41 COVID safety kits, masks and face shields and snacks to drop off location. WE ARE ALSO continuing to collect School Supplies for TEACHERS through August 6 and our collection point is Rockfish Uhaul/Flea Market, 2950 Lindsay Rd, Raeford NC 28376. TEACHER ITEMS: someone said a “Bottle of Wine” but that would not be appropriate (sometimes you just got to laugh) …seriously….Little prizes for Good Behavior, Stickers, Individual Candy, Colorful Flair Pens or Markers, Glue Sticks, Colorful Card Stock, Sanitizer Wipes, Blank Typing Paper, Sticky Notes, Pocket Folders, File Folders, etc.
LOCAL BOE MEMBERS: We would like to congratulate our two Republican Board members for the local Hoke County Board of Elections, Gene Shelnutt and Emily Weidner. One of our ways to have Free and Fair Elections is to have GOOD board members AND to have GOOD Precinct and Poll Workers to keep an eye on the process! IF YOU would like to be a Precinct or Poll Worker, PLEASE LET US KNOW!! We Need YOU!!
NC LT GOVERNOR MARK ROBINSON: In picture our Republican Hoke and Moore County District Attorney Mike Hardin stands with Hoke County native Ralph Huff and NC Lt. Governor Mark Robinson at an event this month. The Lt. Governor will be in Hoke County November 13 at the Raeford Airport to say THANK YOU to our Active Duty and Veteran PATRIOTS! He would also like to speak with all Hoke County Citizens about the direction of NC. The event will be FREE to attend however, you must register and there will be a BBQ Plate Fundraiser for $10 a plate if you would like to eat. PLEASE BECOME ENGAGED in the process and aware of the issues we face. The only way we are going to make a difference is if Stand Up, Speak Out and let our voices be heard in this community. We need folks to sign up to run for School Board, County Commissioner and take up positions within the party such as Precinct Leaders, Poll Workers and Voter Integrity volunteers. We are looking for local people who have interest in journalism and reporting to help us tackle specific topics going on in our community. This can be a paid position.
