Primary Results For Hoke County Commissioner

Let’s start off with what we have all been waiting for. Congratulations to David Frump, Chris Holland, and Johnny Boyles, our Republican candidates for Hoke County Commissioner in November!

And great job to Stephanie Carter! While she didn’t quite make the cut, she ran a great campaign, and the race was sooo close.

As you may or may not know, this is the first time in the 111 years of Hoke County’s existence that we have had a primary at the county level. We had four great candidates step up to run, but unfortunately, only three can go on to the General Election this November.

Primary Results By The Numbers

We had a great turnout compared to past primaries! We had a 275% increase in voter turnout over our 2018 primary, and we were just a few hundred votes short of our all-time high — the 2020 Trump primary.

Even the Democrats are tired of Democrat policies. We saw this with a 32% decrease in the 2018 Democrat primary voter turnout.

Election Results Rally

We had a great time Tuesday night as we gathered together to watch the results roll in! Lots of excitement!

New Party Leadership

Recently, some of the highly-esteemed, long-standing party leadership decided to step down. In an executive board meeting early Thursday evening, new leadership was elected. The new party leadership is as follows.

  • Chairman – Chris Holland
  • Vice-Chairwoman – Erica Goodpaster
  • Secretary – (vacant, anyone interested??) Hal Nunn, acting
  • Treasure – (vacant, possibly Stephanie Carter or David Frump)
  • Data and Strategic Planning – Jeremiah Goodpaster
  • Education and Outreach – Ruben Castellon
  • Community Safety & Outreach – Steve Joe
  • Fundraising – Johnny Boyles
  • Business Outreach/Women’s Group – (vacant, possibly Stephanie Carter)
  • Women’s Group – Gretchen Harvey

Law Enforcement Appreciation Lunch

Although we were rained on a bit, our LEO Appreciation lunch was a success! We were able to honor our local LEOs and their families with lunch on us to show our appreciation for the sacrifices they make every day to keep Hoke County safe.

We Need Volunteers

We had volunteers knock on over 700 doors from March to Primary Day, handing out literature. For the November general election, we need to triple our efforts. That means more door knocking, more literature, more events, and more interactions with the voters.

Email Jeremiah.goodpaster@gmail.com to get involved!

Election Integrity Team

RNC, NCGOP, 9th District, and Hoke GOP all have Election Integrity teams! If you would like to help on those teams now and moving into November, PLEASE LET US KNOW!

Donations Needed!

We had a great turnout but not enough to win the General Election.

We have a real chance of winning — not just one seat, but multiple seats in the county. We have Stevie Joe running for Sheriff; Ruben and Harry for school board; and David Frump, Chris Holland, and Johnny Boyles running for the three open County Commissioner seats. It’s taken 111 years for the stars to align, and now is our chance.

In order to win the general election, we need donations. Leading up to the Primary, we made over 4000 robo texts and calls and held multiple events. This all costs money. Please donate what you can.

You can donate to Hoke GOP by check or through PayPal by clicking Donate Now. If writing a check, please write to Hoke County GOP and mail it to 140 Chapel Hill Drive Raeford, NC 28376.
