We need YOU! as you can see the Democrats in Washington ( talking impeachment of our great President and our HONORABLE Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh), Raleigh (with that law maker who went nuts on the LEGAL Budget VETO Override) and obviously here locally (which is completely run by Democrats and always has been since 1911). We’re going to change that! If not, we will be heard!
We have issues that need to be addressed in a timely manner and the problems with ordinances, dilapidated buildings, and fix that courthouse PLEASE! We also need a new high school, be it Public, Charter, Private or a combination of them. We need to take care of the schools we have. I SUPPORT THE BUCKS! Our fire departments and rescue all need to be taken care of and supported while not used for political gain. Our Sheriff’s Department and Deputy’s need the right tools to do their jobs and YES, better pay! We need a NEW JAIL and it needs to be out of the City Limits.
We need to expand our Library and take care of our seniors! We need to make sure the Department of Transportation has what they need to maintain our roads and our voice is being heard in Raleigh. I feel that the new Emergency Management group we have now is doing GREAT and need to be supported fully! Developers don’t run this county; WE THE PEOPLE DO!
Did you know that Hoke County is still not electronically filing closings on properties at the deed office? It slows down the closing process which means what…. Money. We only have one attorney to do closings in Hoke. FORECLOSED properties do not need to be “held back” for certain groups or people. People wanting to move to Hoke are constantly asking about sewer and schools. They don’t like septic tanks.
We do not need our county leaders to keep adding fees to our county services (another way to raise taxes is fee’s) so to speak. Our Animal Control office needs to be proactive and willing to work with our citizens affectively and as promptly as possible. Our county water system needs updating, and each site needs to be backed up and secure, so our water is safe. Our courthouse is a disaster while officials build splash pads, swimming pools and toot their own horns. WE CAN DO BETTER!!!We have a fine man in Mike Hardin who is running for DA for our new district with Hoke and Moore counties. He needs your support and I Hal Nunn am personally endorsing him for DA! He knows the issues and is a Career Prosecutor! He has tried thousands of cases in District, Superior, and Juvenile Court and obtained guilty verdicts in high profile and complex jury trials such as murder, rape, robberies, arson and child sex offenses.
