October meeting moved to Tuesday October 15, 2019 in Rockfish, 2950 Lindsay Rd Raeford, NC 28376 at 7pm. (Due to Fall Fest Parade on 17^th) We need to get folks to help with the Fall Festival Parade and help volunteer and hour or two at the Festival on Main St. Saturday September 19. PLEASE HELP our Party continue to grow! And yes we are growing!

We are planning the LARGEST REPUBLICAN EVENT Hoke County has ever seen with the Trump Country 2020 Red White and Bluegrass BBQ fundraiser, dinner, auction, entertainment, LIVE MUSIC, Guest Speakers, drawings and door prizes, November 17, 2019 from 3-6pm at Rockfish Speedway and Fairgrounds. We had a GREAT TIME at the Mike Hardin for DA Meet and Greet at Rockfish Creek Winery a couple weeks back. Got 13 people to register to vote or change their registration! WE HAVE two registration boxes at the Rockfish Uhaul/Pack and Ship, . 2950 Lindsay Rd. Raeford, NC and you don’t have to drive downtown, we’ll take care of you and make sure you’re registered.

Remington 870 Shotgun DRAWING, Skydive or Wind Tunnel and XBOX. $10 per ticket or 3 for $20. We need folks to help sell tickets, drawing November 1 (unless we change it to the November 17 party) which we will bring up at meeting Oct 15.

GAMBLING PLACES opening up all over Hoke County!

Developers putting in neighborhoods and roads are not being built to DOT standards and citizens are struggling getting repairs done. Planning board seems to be approving everything and developers need to be held accountable.

Still no resolution on Noise Ordinance at it relates to Chicken Man. County slow to move on this issue.

Hoke County Schools have a major problem with having enough bus drivers for it’s ever growing student numbers. Hoke High and Sandy Grove are two of the bigger issues.

Water systems are being expanded while some water systems need upgrading.

North Carolina

Another victory with voter ID and NCGA trying to get Non-Citizens removed from Voter Rolls (Democrats trying everything they can to stop it) It’s common sense when you’re not a citizen, you should not vote!

NC’s legislative Democrats held a master class regarding how NOT to budget as evidenced by one of the largest budget deficits in the nation during the recession. Several states have expanded Medicaid, including some Republican-led ones that are now reaping the problems of expanding the program. With the country spiraling further down the rabbit hole that is our national debt, how long can the government keep funding Medicaid expansion? Carolina Journal

Both chambers are out as they await the court’s approval of the new legislative maps, but they should be back in session next week.
