It has come to our attention that Hurricane Relief efforts were politicized here locally by some of our current leaders by re-directing or stopping water and food efforts. Several citizens mentioned that food and water that was distributed at local fire departments were from the National Guard and or Convoy of Hope not by County Commissioners. Food and water was limited to one case of each and in some cases, certain people were allowed to take more than that. Our local fire fighters were put in between a rock and a hard place by trying to be fair and give equal treatment to everyone in need however, pressure was put on them to do what they are told to do. That is not acceptable in any away. We ask you this November to Vote David Frump and Cliff Overby for Hoke County Commissioner for a Better Direction for Hoke County.
